For some people it is just a tiny little question lurking in the very back of their minds. For others, the question begins hounding them the instant they wake up. It haunts them all day long and keeps them from falling asleep at night. What am I supposed to do? What career should I pursue? Where should I go to school? What should I do about the relationship I’m in? Should I stay in school? Where should I live? Does God want me to remain single? How do I deal with my son's drug habit? How am I supposed to relate to those I don't get along with? Should I retire this year, or next? Where am I going to get the money I need to pay my bills?
The Bible offers guidance that can help you think through each of these questions. God wants you to make smart decisions. He promises to give us wisdom. “If any of you needs wisdom, you should ask God for it. He is generous and enjoys giving to all people, so he will give you wisdom.” James 1:5 (New Century Version). So don’t think you must make life's tough choices all yourself. God will help you.
But how can you tap into the wisdom of God? God is not like a vending machine. You can’t just pop in fifty cents, push button A-23 to select the goody (or the magic answer) you want and have it drop down the chute. Connecting with God’s wisdom, means connecting personally with God. No matter what question you’re puzzling over, the best answer will come to you in a personal relationship with God. On this web site you’ll find Bible guidance for many questions, but remember, the right answer to every question begins in a personal connection with God.
If you are secure in your relationship with God, you might want to move directly to the Life Issues menu. If you have questions about your connection with God, perhaps you should read through the first section (Spiritual Questions) before going to the other topics.
